GN Resound LiNX Quattro 9 BTE Hearing Aid review

The new LiNX Quattro 9 hearing aid was introduced in late 2018 and has been a fantastic addition to the audiologist’s arsenal.

This new hearing aid uses a completely new chipset from Resound that delivers a huge improvement in processing power and speed. They can help with a wide range of hearing levels (from mild to profound) and offer features like Bluetooth connectivity, phone applications and rechargeable options.

It is a hearing aid that will help any client looking for improvements on the phone or noisy situations. One very unique feature of this product range is the compatibility with cochlear implants for monoaural users. This will improve sound quality and sound localisation for these clients. From my client’s experiences having bimodal hearing for phone calls has been life-changing. However, be prepared that extra accessories may be required depending on your cochlear technology level.

When comparing this device to other premium products it falls with the limited number of channels and automatic programming. The device can stream directly with an iPhone or Android. However, I have found one issue with the new LiNX Quattro range is that clients need very new phones for Bluetooth connectivity while other brands can handle older phone models.

In conclusion, I have had great success with the LiNX Quattro hearing aid for the appropriate client. I would recommend having a discussion with your audiologist to determine if this device is right for you.
