Had a hearing test for my father with Dr. Zeila and she was incredibly patient, attentive, and explained everything clearly. Heather at reception was also very friendly, patient, and accommodating. Great experience overall. Highly recommend getting your hearing test done here.

Frequently Asked Questions

What public transport options are available near your Toorak clinic?

Our Toorak audiology clinic on Toorak Road is served by Tram 58, which runs along Toorak Road right by the clinic. Toorak Station (Sandringham line) and Hawksburn Station are both a short tram ride from Toorak Road.

Is there parking near your Toorak audiology clinic?

Yes. Public parking is available at the Carters Avenue public car park, about a 2-minute walk (130 metres). Wilson Parking on Jackson Street is also within a few minutes’ walk, plus metered street parking nearby.

Is microsuction ear cleaning suitable for seniors and children?

Yes. Our microsuction ear cleaning service in Toorak is a safe and gentle option for seniors and children aged 4+. Because we use low-pressure suction under direct vision with a microscope, rather than water syringing, it is often the preferred option for people with sensitive ears or narrow ear canals.

Do I need a referral to see an audiologist in Toorak?

No referral is needed for most appointments at Ear & Hearing Australia in Toorak. However, if you are attending under the Hearing Services Program (HSP), are a DVA cardholder, or need a Medicare-eligible diagnostic assessment, you will usually need a GP referral.

How long is an audiology appointment in Toorak?

Most initial audiology appointments in Toorak take about 60 minutes. If you also need a hearing aid consultation, please allow up to 90 minutes. We schedule enough time to complete a full diagnostic hearing test and discuss your hearing, results, and treatment options properly.

How much does microsuction ear wax removal cost in Toorak?

Our microsuction ear wax removal fee in Toorak is usually $160 to $220, depending on the complexity of the wax removal and the time required. This includes a video otoscope ear examination and safe wax removal using medical-grade suction under surgical microscopy by a qualified audiologist. We do not use water syringing.

Do you offer NDIS hearing services in Toorak?

Yes. At our Toorak clinic, we provide hearing services for NDIS participants, including hearing assessments, hearing aid fittings, and ongoing audiology support where appropriate. We also assist WorkCover clients, pensioners, and DVA cardholders through our accredited hearing services.

What do I need to bring to my first hearing appointment at your Toorak clinic?

For your first appointment at our Toorak audiology clinic, please bring your Medicare or DVA card, any private health insurance details, your current hearing aids, and any previous hearing test results if available. A list of medications and relevant medical information can also be useful. You are welcome to bring a companion if you would like support during the appointment.

How much notice do I need to give if I need to cancel my Toorak audiology appointment?

We ask that you provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment at our Toorak clinic. This allows us to offer that time to another patient. To change your appointment, please contact Ear & Hearing Australia on 1300 761 667.
