Introducing Phonak Cros II

The Phonak CROS II is a hearing solution designed for individuals with single-sided deafness or unilateral hearing loss. It uses advanced Phonak Venture technology to wirelessly transmit sound from the ear with hearing loss to the better hearing ear, improving speech understanding and awareness of the environment.

The Phonak CROS II is available in several models:

  1. CROS II-312: This behind-the-ear (BTE) model is the smaller of the two and uses a size 312 battery. It is designed for those who prefer a more compact device.
  2. CROS II-13: This BTE model is slightly larger, uses a size 13 battery, and includes a volume control button. It offers extended battery life compared to the CROS II-312.
  3. CROS II-312 Custom: This in-the-ear (ITE) model is custom-made to fit within the ear canal, providing a discreet option for users.
  4. CROS II-13 Custom: Similar to the CROS II-312 Custom, this ITE model is also tailored to the user’s ear canal but is designed to accommodate a size 13 battery for longer battery life.

How it works:

CROS stands for ‘Contralateral Routing of Signal’ and consists of two parts:

The CROS aid with a microphone to pick up sounds and voices from the non hearing ear and wirelessly transmit them to the hearing aid.

The hearing aid to receive the signal from the non hearing ear and play it to your good ear CROS II will transmit sound and voices to let your good ear hear for both your ears. If you have good hearing in one ear and impaired hearing in the other, then CROS II will work for you.
